Black Dog Institute is a not-for-profit medical research institute investigating mental health across the lifespan, founded in 2002 by UNSW School of Psychiatry Scientia Professor Gordon Parker. The only Medical Research Institute in Australia investigating mental health across the lifespan. Research focus includes depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, suicide prevention, e-mental health, and workplace mental health. Runs four clinics: Depression and Bipolar Clinic, Psychology Clinic, Child and Adolescent Clinic, Rural and Telepsychiatry Clinic.
