§ 01 · What you'll learn
01How to map when the biting actually happens — driving, screens, meetings, stress, boredom — instead of guessing
02What a body-focused repetitive behaviour is, and why it is not a discipline failure
03Awareness training: making a 40-year automatic behaviour visible again
04The competing response: the physically incompatible action that replaces the bite
05The honest word on bitter polish, short nails, and the rest — what helps, what's mixed, what's noise
§ 02 · Who it's for
01A man past 40 who has bitten his nails since childhood and has never stopped for longer than a few weeks
02Someone who has already tried deterrent polish, promises, and willpower, and watched all three fail
03A man who's fine — this isn't ruining his life — but who's tired of hiding his hands
§ 03 → The modules

5 sessions, in order.

01
The honest audit
When it actually happens — driving, screens, meetings, stress, boredom. The trigger inventory. Past attempts and why they failed. Not shame — reconnaissance.
5 min→
02
What nail biting actually is
A body-focused repetitive behaviour, not a discipline failure. The loop: rising tension, the bite, brief relief, repeat — mostly below conscious awareness.
5 min→
03
Awareness training
The first half of habit reversal training. Making the invisible visible: the hand-to-mouth path, the situational triggers, the urge itself. What it feels like thirty seconds before.
6 min→
04
The competing response
The second half of habit reversal training, and the core of the journey. A physically incompatible action held for about a minute when the urge hits or the hand rises. Replacing the behaviour, not fighting it with nothing.
7 min→
05
Aids, relapse, and the 90-day view
The honest word on bitter polish, short nails, and manicures. When the severe end needs a professional. Relapse as data. What ninety days of regrowth actually looks like.
